The other day Asa wanted some pop or as he says in his cute little voice, "want pot". First he proceeded to empty the can into the other can. Note however the can he had was already empty. After dumping the one can into the other, he then decided to drink up all the "pot" that he could. Little kids talk is so cute the way the mispronounce words. I am loving every minute of this stage, although, I could do without the whining when things are frustrating to him.

Tacos anyone?
I have been a bad blogging mommy the last little while. I have three weeks worth of blogging to catch up on. So for your viewing pleasure I will be posting (through auto posts) every twelve hours so that I can get caught up better. I like blogging about a week after the event happens so my goal is to try and keep up with this schedule. We'll see how it goes after I get caught up.
Here is another round of Eli feeding himself. He is getting so good at it and most of the food ends up in his mouth. He eats every part of the taco, although because of the lactose-intolerance he doesn't get to eat any cheese on them. We are slowly reducing the amount of dairy that we eat as a family, partly so that I don't have to make different meals for Eli. Although many of the foods we eat, we are able to do things al a carte and just leave the dairy off of Eli's plate.

I Can Feed Myself
Eli is getting very good at feeding himself finger foods, now.
Asa definitely loves his brother. (I wish Asa ate as well as Eli does. Look how skinny he looks; you can see each of his rib bones.)
As you can tell from the pictures the food tastes better after we dump it off of the plate, and here we have abandoned the plate all together.
And one last picture because that smiling happy face is so worth it.

Mister Helpful
Okay this first image, well I kept looking at it and trying to figure out what was wrong with Eli's mouth. Then I noticed that he was eating a blueberry pop tart and I thought okay he has blueberry on his teeth but NOPE, Eli actually has a spoon in his mouth. I can't tell you why he has a spoon while eating a pop tart but he does. So I solved the mystery of why his mouth looked so weird in this photo. Also if you notice in the background Asa is cleaning his tray after finishing his meal.
How can you resist that cute little face? I know I can't.
A closer look at Asa cleaning up his tray. He is becoming so independent and wants to help whenever he can. While sometimes it can be frustrating, I know that I need to take advantage of this stage and enjoy it while it lasts because I know all to well that it will not last. Hmmmm....what can I think up to have him do?

Building Blocks
Okay now this first picture is proof positive that Eli is a 'ham.' Without fail when he hears the beep on the camera, he will look and give a smile; Asa on the other hand could almost care less and generally wants to see what is going on behind the camera, instead of getting his picture taken.
Here is Chris playing with the boys. Helping them with the building blocks that grandma and papa Woods got them for Christmas.

Hold on Little Guy
Asa got to hold Jadon the other day. I know these pictures are not the greatest but they aren't bad either; and when you consider that I was sitting next to Asa and had my left hand holding Jadon (just out of the picture) and my right hand holding the camera taking the pictures, I didn't do to bad of a job.
On a side note, I am still amazed at how fast Asa's hair grows. It had only been four weeks since he had a haircut, and look how shaggy his hair is.

Rockin' and Rollin'
The other day Chris was rocking Eli and Asa decided he needed to be in on the act as well. Only Asa didn't want to be on Chris' lap, he had another option in his mind.
Over the next few days, I will have some auto posts set up. For some reason, I can never get fully caught up, I am always about two weks behind in my blogging. Oh well life goes on, right? I do my best and since this blog is more for me then I guess it doesn't necessarily have to be up to the minute now, does it?

A few more memories
As we approach Valentine's Day, I am trying to think of creative, low cost ways to surprise my husband. In all the midst of looking through pictures of my dad we came across the different pictures from the weddings of us girls. (It really makes me sad to know that my dad won't be there for my brother's wedding in April.) While in the process of scanning all the pictures from the picture boards at the funeral, I also scanned some of the pictures from my wedding. It is hard for me to believe that I will be married for eleven years this year. Here are some of my favorite pictures from my wedding.
Here I am with my two flower girls, my first nieces. I find it hard to believe that Stephanie has already graduated and Sarah is a sophomore in high school. Their not supposed to get older, are they?
The giving of the bride.
The traditional throwing of the birdseed, although now a lot of people have gone to bubbles, I didn't like the fact that the bubbles would leave marks on the dresses. And well I like to feed God's critters.
Here Chris and I are with my parents.
The whole wedding party including my ushers and my guest book attendants.
Here we are with our matron of honor, April, and the best man, Joe.
And with our flower girls and the ring bearer.
Towards the end of photo session with Chris's brother Wayne goofing off and my little cousin (although she will be sixteen this year) Faith getting in on the picture. I used to do a lot of things with her and her little sister before I was married and even after getting married but not as much now that they have gotten older.
Then there is my beautiful cake. Made at a local bakery, Jablonski's Bakery. Oh I love their baked goods. This cake was actually a gift because my aunt was dating the owner at the time. It is so nice to have people in important places.
