Eli gets PIZZA!!!

We have finally figured out a successful way to let Eli have pizza. Albeit cheeseless pizza, it is still pizza. Eli loved every bit of it. Oh and Asa didn't want to be left out of the picture taking.

Asa the Poser

So about two months ago, Asa decided to be a camera hog. He kept posing and telling me to take pictures. Needless to say he looked so cute how could I not comply.

Richfield Park

Okay so it has been a bit since I have posted. Life happens what else can I say.

Anyway, I decided to take the boys to Richfield Park to play because everywhere else I could think of was closed. We didn't stay long for fear that the mosquitos would carry us away even with all the bug spray we put on ourselves.

Genesee County Fair 2009

Red and White striped tents do not the best photos make. I was also practicing my manual mode. After Eli's eye appointment, playing at the playground, and looking at a house, we headed out to the Genesee County Fair. We enjoyed walking around the exhibits and seeing all the animals. Only bad thing is that my battery died so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Oh well.

The boys riding the trackers in one of the tents.

The chicken named Phyllis Diller.

Checking out the chickens.

Checking out the goats.

Checking out the bunnies.

Playground (house hunting adventure)

After Eli's eye appointment, we went to look at a house. We arrived early and decided to let the boys play at the school playground just down the street. The house wasn't what we were really looking for but the play time was so worth it.

Eli's Eye

We have taken Eli to the eye doctor, to have his lazy eye checked out. He has to wear a patch four hours a day over the good eye to help strengthen the bad eye. So in upcoming posts you will notice that Eli has a patch over his eye in some of the pictures. The pictures above were taken the morning of his eye appointment.

Potter Park Zoo Trip 3 - Members event night

How cool is it to see a porcupine up so close.

And then to see it stand on two legs as well, really cool.

The camels are back together again and gracious enough to let me take a family portrait. It was on this night (8/12) that we were told by two different worker/volunteers that the baby had injured itself on a bolt in the pen.

Okay so baby is facing the wrong way but at least they were close enough to get all three in one pic.

Over to see the llamas. Asa kept calling them goats. I corrected him. Asa then responds "yeah, llama goat and daddy goat" talk about laughing out loud. It was so cute and funny.

Swan.

Feeding the ducks in the pond.

Eli and dada checking out the penguins up close in the penguin exhibit.

One of the penguins posing.

And more penguin gawking.

Asa and Trisha in the penguin exhibit.

Finally figured out settings for my camera to work in the reptile/bird house.
A Chinese Water Dragon.

My boys checking out the turtles.

A Kookaburra (Kingfisher).

A snake on exhibit.

The snow leopards.

They had free pony rides and it's a good thing the rides were free.
Eli got as close as sitting down on the pony. This is the only shot I got as Chris was taking him off the pony.

Now it's Asa's turn.

Nope Asa wouldn't ride either.

Up close with an owl.

The boys checking out things just before we were ready to leave.
