Ewwww...

Can't believe I'm actually posting these.

But he still looks so stinkin' cute even doing something so gross.

Apparently he wants to be like his cousin Claudia. (Check out the video HERE.)
Eli got a little creative while coloring the other day.

He decided to use his shirt pocket to hold his pencils.

Richfield Park Playground

Eagle Hunting

We headed out looking for the the eagle's that I had been told about. Supposedly a pair has nested out by the county fair grounds. We did not find them but enjoyed our walk none the less.

I think Asa has decided to take the term "tree hugger" literally as he ran over and hugged the pine tree. All I could think as I snapped pictures is "ouch," those pine needles are prickly but he didn't seem to mind.

We also found some old railroad tracks. I assume from the old railroad system that ran through this area years ago. If not from that then it is from historic village that runs trains on a now closed line, but they no longer are using these tracks any more either.

As we headed home, I so my first Blue Bird of the Spring. So happy to see the migratory birds coming back.

Nature walk 2

After the indoor picnic, we headed out to For-Mar for another walk. We were dressed for a 70 degree day and it actually hit above 80. It was an awesome day for early April. We even got to the visitor's center in time to check out one of the birder backpacks, which the boys loved.

We didn't see many birds but the boys enjoted looking throuh the guide book and using the electronic bird identifier. It was a great way to spend a beautiful spring day.
