Good luck Jaime, we'll miss you

We spent the weekend over at Granny and Grandpa's, spending time with Jaime before she moves to California. Now we have another excuse to visit California. We have been saying for years that we want to get out there and visit Chris's grandma as well as his uncle and aunt that live out there. Now with Jaime moving out there we have one more reason to try and get out there for a visit. We really enjoyed ourselves this weekend playing games and what not. And as always we ate way to much food. Well I need to go so that I can get Chris out the door for work. I will try to do better this next week on posting and get some more images and video loaded.

Happy Easter

I am so mad at myself because I forgot to take my camera with me today. After church this morning we all went back to my mom and dad's house for dinner. Homemade lasagne prepared by me. Anyway, Michelle and Jim and the girls were there as well and Skylar got papa to hide the Easter eggs for them to find. Asa did very well. He found quite a few besides the ones that were placed specifically for him to find. He got fourteen out of the forty-eight eggs that were hidden around in the house. Not to shabby for a seventeen month old. I wish I had pictures to post. He was so cute.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day today as we celebrate what our wonderful Lord and Saviour did for us all those years ago. Thank you Jesus.

Something to be happy about

Well not much has happened the last couple days. One bright spot was last night on my way home from church, I decided to stop at Taco Bell and get some dinner. Well it was an interesting time. I pull into drive thru and there are two vehicles in front of me a car and a truck. The car finishes their order and the truck doesn't move. The van behind me honks once waits a minute or two and honks again. A few seconds later the truck moves only they don't stop to give an order they pull up behind the car at the window and wait. Well I pull up give my order and proceed like normal. The car gets their order and pulls away, the truck then stops at the window pays and gets my order, then drives away. I pull up to the window and say I think you just gave my order to that truck because he never stopped and actually ordered. The poor guy at the drive thru window was totally rattled. This was a first for him. So needless to say, I ended up getting my food for free. I was ready to pay for the food, had the money out and ready to give him and everything. He just promoed off my order. It was a pleasant surprise for me. So I guess I should say thanks to the drunk in front of me who never ordered but proceeded, paid and took my order. I hope he liked what he got. Thanks.

Pics from Nature Center

Asa had fun sitting on dad's shoulders. He found dad's hair to make an excellent handle.

Asa also found the interactive features to be a lot of fun.

Eli enjoyed feeling the raccoon fur.

However Asa was not to fond of the furs including the fox fur.

Asa had the most fun running around pushing all of the buttons and trying to figure out where the bird calls were coming from.

Today's Activities

Well we went to have our taxes done, and things went well. We don't have to pay and are actually getting some money back. Having kids is nice because of that. After getting our taxes done, we headed to the Chippewa Nature Center. We spent two hours there and had a really nice time. Asa enjoyed being able to run around and inspect all of the different things there was to investigate. He also really enjoyed watching the critters in the bird watching area. I was a bit disappointed because the wild turkeys didn't show up while we were there. They are one of my favorite things to see. I also wished that it was a bit warmer so we could have walked around some outside but with two small babies it just wasn't feasible. I will try to post some of the pictures that I took while there (I took over a hundred). I am so glad that I switched to digital, so that I am able to just keep snapping picture after picture. Well this is all for now.

Wow Time sure can fly

Wow I can't believe how fast this last week has gone by. With everyone but Eli being sick these past couple of weeks since returning from Alabama, I haven't been able to keep up with much of anything. Not much has happened this week so no one has missed much. We go to Midland Sunday afternoon to have our taxes done and we will go to the Chippewa Nature Center while we are up there. One of my favorite places. I can't wait to show Asa the bird watching area, hopefully we'll get to see the wild turkeys. Any way I should go to bed we have an early start tomorrow. I'll try to post when we get back Sunday night.

Where has the week gone

Okay so not much has happened this week but the last five days have blended together into one big blur. Since going to Alabama in such a short rushed trip, recouperating has been difficult. It also doesn't help that we have all pretty much come down with some sort of bug. I blame Michelle for giving it to us. Hopefully no one else comes down with it. I think the cough is the worse thing because no matter how hard I cough I really can't get anything to move. Anyway, I will post again later. We have a few activities coming up in the near future (i.e. Eli's first time in a pool). Can't wait to see his reaction to that. Signing off for now.

More Video

Here is some more video of Asa going down the slide. This time with his cousin Claudia. Hope everyone enjoys. Oh and I didn't figure out how to fix the other video.

Asa on the slide in Brooklyn Alabama

Sorry that I didn't get this posted sooner. But again if you click on the title you can see video of Asa going down the slide. The day was so beautiful. It was a little cool but at least there wasn't snow.

Sorry if the video is sideways. I didn't think about it when I was taking it. I have a video option on my digital camera and that is how I took the video and I was trying to fit the slide to the frame and when taking a picture it makes sense to go vertical. Hopefully I can work this problem out on youtube and it won't be an issue and I will have written this for no reason.
