Tyler's Piano Recital

Tried to make it to see my nephew at his piano recital but we got there late and missed his performance but the kids we did her play sounded great. Tyler even posed for some photo ops at the end for me.

On the Way Home...

...from the zoo, we stopped by the Shiawassee National Wildlife Reserve.

I was hoping to see the nesting eagle's but they were farther down the trail than I had energy for. We did see a few birds and here are a few of the images that I shot on our little jaunt.

I won this template the other day and thought how perfect it would be for these images. I think I was correct.

On the drive out we saw all these deer. Really wish I had a super telephoto lens. *sigh* Maybe someday.

A Trip to the Saginaw Children's Zoo with Alaina and Nicholas

As you may know by now, we love the zoo. As a special treat we took Alaina and Nicholas with us to enjoy the day. It was beautiful outside and a lot of fun.

First stop was to see the new otter. He seems a bit feisty. So happy to see an otter back in the exhibit as the other otters had passed from natural causes over the last summer season.

Then we headed over to ride the train.

It's always fun to climb on the truck and pretend we are going for a ride.

The prairie Dogs were out and about. Then we headed over to play on the playground.

After playing, we headed to see more animals. Took advantage of a picture opportunity and tested out the coin roll.

Over to see the monkeys and having fun crossing the floating bridge.

Headed out from underground after checking out the fish in the water.

The penguins weren't very active. But the otter was back out in the water in his exhibit nearby.

One more ride on the train, watch as they go by...

The peacock put on a great show!

What trip to the Children's Zoo would be complete without a ride on the carousel?

Make that two rides on the carousel!

Then over to visit the eagles one more time. It looks like the eagle on the left is coming over to the other like "hey, what's going on over here?" The other eagle ignores him. "Okay, fine, don't tell me then. I'm outta here!"
