Picnic in the Park

Today we went for a picnic in the park, oh yeah, and to celebrate Kirk and Holly's birthdays as well as Holly's mom's birthday. We had a really nice time. This year was much nice in the fact that it was nice and warm. Last year was cold and rainy. We did not avoid the rain but we weren't cold. The rain actually held off until toward the end of the party. Then we had tornado warnings and heavy rain by the time we had everything loaded and got back to Kirk and Holly's house the rain was gone and the warnings/watches had all expired. If only we had waited it out another ten minutes we could had more fun out at the park, but as weather in Michigan goes you never know if there is going to be any more storms to follow behind the one that just hit and the area we were in can be hit hard. All in all we had a nice time and enjoyed visiting with Kirk and Holly after everyone else had left, well at least the boys and I did. Poor Chris caught some zzzz's in the corner chair while we visited.
