Well our trip down to Alabama for my (Christy's) Gran-granny's funeral went well. Asa and Eli both did really good on the ride down. Eli better than Asa, Eli was content as long as he was fed and changed and taken out of the carrier when we were stopped. Asa did very well; although, he did get a bit fussy in the mountains. I think he was having the same complications as me with his ears popping. I know I don't enjoy it and I understand what is happening, but how do you explain it to a sixteen month old. Obviously, you don't. You just have to try and content them and we did our best. We tried to stop places where he could get out and run. It helped that we were traveling with my cousin and her family and he was able to play with Bailey and Brayden. He really enjoyed that.
The trip took us about 16 hours to make. Three and a half hours of that time was spent stopping to eat and rest. So we did really well on time. I was impressed since we were caravaning and had three kids two and under to contend with as well as an eight year old and five adults.
I will post again either tonight or tomorrow as we need to get ready to go to the funeral.

Asa
Asa is now able to get what he wants out of the refrigerator, when we open the door for him. He thinks it is really neat to be able to do this too. He is just getting so big so fast. I can't believe how much he has learned in such a short time, as well as how much he learns everyday. Sometimes I wish I could see inside that working mind to know what he is thinking, especially when he play acts. He is constantly acting like he is doing something. It is so cute to watch him act like he is eating something; he will hold a plate or bowl and act like he is grabbing something and then put his hand to his mouth as if he is putting something in his mouth and sometimes he even chews this imaginary food. I will try to get video the next time he is doing this so I can share with everyone. Enjoy the pictures that I have posted.

ELI'S LAUGH
So I looked around trying to figure out why I couldn't get the video to upload right on blogger and found no answers. I did come across the suggestion to upload to youtube so that is what I have done. Hope this works. Just click on the title (where it says Eli's Laugh) and it should take you to the video on youtube.

Eli's laugh
Here is some video of Eli laughing. He is the one squealing. It was so darn cute to hear him laugh like that. Yes, Asa is also laughing in the video but there is a definite distinction between the two. I am sorry that the video is a bit on the dark side but I was going more for the sound than I was for the picture. Hope everyone enjoys.

Getting Things Started
Well I have finally gotten my act together and created a blog so that I can keep peeople updated as to the activities of our daily lives. This way everyone will be able to read about events and such as they have taken place. This will also allow me not to have to send such large emails out to everyone. Hope everyone enjoys this. I know it will be nice for me because it will give me an account to look back over and see how things have changed and as well as things that have taken place in our lives all in one spot.
