Flint Holiday Walk 2011

Our second time attending the Flint Holiday Walk, I intend to make this a family tradition.  First stop watching Santa arrive to light the tree!

After the tree lighting we headed over to the Sloan Museum and the boys got to make shrink-a-dink ornaments.  Here Chris is helping rough up the plastic so that the colored pencils will work to color.

Here is Asa from start to finish making a gingerbread man.

Eli went to town coloring his candy cane all different colors then while waiting on Asa's to shrink he colored over both sides with a red marker.  Oh well, it was his to decorate as he wanted.

Then we headed over to the Flint Institute of Music and enjoy cookies and punch.  We also took the opportunity to have the boys picture taken on the rocking chair from the Nutcracker.

Then over to the Flint Public Library to make handprint Rudolphs.

The boys were getting tired so we headed back to the car so that we could go home.  But first we stopped to take some more pictures of the boys and the tree.

We had a great time and look forward to next year's walk!

GIBC Christmas Banquet and Program

Here we all are enjoying the meal.

The kids headed upstairs first to practice real quick before the parents came upstairs.

Everyone has joined together upstairs.  We opened with a couple Christmas carols.

The kids did a great job reciting, singing, and signing.  Eli was a stinker though and did just about everything but what he was supposed to, on the plus side though he did stand in his place.

After the program, we attempted an impromptu photo of all ten of my mom's grandkids.  Ten kids all the age of ten and under make for some interesting photos.  :-)

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

Just after Thanksgiving we attempted our Christmas card photo. These did not make the final cut but were too cute not to share.

We also finished decorating for Christmas and I love how me wall art looks since we finally got it up. I love having my life verse in such a great focal spot.

Also during this time I did some volunteer photoshoots for the MI Heart Gallery. On the way home from one of the shoots, I scoped out a good shot of the Flint city skyline against the beautiful sunset.
