RIF Day at School

The kids were allowed to dress up as pirates and the story that was read to them was "Shiver Me Letters" A Pirate ABC" by June Sobel.  It is a very cute book and the kids really enjoyed it.

The kids then walked the plank on an adventure to find pirate treasure.

Here Asa is crossing over to the treasure chest to find his treasure!

Looking for what treasures they would like to take home.

RIF Family Night 2012

Asa's school had a family reading night, a perfect event for my book loving little men!

The theme this year was pirates!  Here they are making telescopes!

Next we headed over to the map making station, always a fun thing to do!

We then stopped by the game playing room.  Chris and Asa enjoyed a rousing game of UNO!

Then our last stop of the night was to make "Pirate Booty Snack Bags."
A super fun night for the family!

Video from Asa's School Christmas Program

Asa's First School Christmas Program

On December 16th, Asa had is first school Christmas program.  All of the PM Kindergarteners did a great job.  It was so fun to watch them all sing and act out their songs and poems.
After the program we were able to pick Asa up early and even had a chance to help him make an ornament for the tree.

School Harvest Festival

Later in the evening after the parade, we took the boys to the Harvest Festival at the school. They loved it! They enjoyed every part of the evening.

First, they played a few games outside.

Then we headed inside and they really enjoyed the cookie walk. This proved to be the highlight of the evening as they played several times. They just enjoyed going around and anticipating their number being called.

Then they colored paper plate jack-o-lanterns. And tried the hockey shoot out!

Then we went to the library to hear a story! The boys loved this but then again it is their favorite thing to have books read to them. So I'm not surprised that they enjoyed this.

After the story the boys headed out to enjoy some donuts and cider. Only the tractor returned from the previous run and Asa could not get over there fast enough for the hayride.

Then off they went on the hayride while money went back inside to help with the games. All part of being a PTO mom. They had such a great time.
