Easter Sunday: Home from Church

As our tradition has been the boys do not get to open their Easter baskets until after the morning services at church.  We had a great Sunrise service followed by breakfast with the church, then Sunday School and Morning Service.

Asa was really big on showing me every gift he received.

Eli enjoyed looking through his gifts.

Eli also really enjoyed the Chocolate Egg.  We thought they were hollow but low and behold they were filled with chocolate cream!  YUMMY!

RIF Family Night 2012

Asa's school had a family reading night, a perfect event for my book loving little men!

The theme this year was pirates!  Here they are making telescopes!

Next we headed over to the map making station, always a fun thing to do!

We then stopped by the game playing room.  Chris and Asa enjoyed a rousing game of UNO!

Then our last stop of the night was to make "Pirate Booty Snack Bags."
A super fun night for the family!

Short Sleeves in March???

Yes that is correct.  Here it was early March and we were wearing short sleeves in Michigan.
We took our first adventure with the boys and there new cameras.  They enjoyed exploring with their new "toy."

Stopped to take a photo oppotunity.  I love these shirts!

Geese were everywhere!  More than normal, I sure did enjoy watching these beautiful creatures.

Gorgeous sunset as we headed back to the car.

As we were leaving we spotted 3 deer.  Chris knows my obsession and turned the car around so I had a better vantage for viewing.

We watched as they headed to a new area.

Only to discover there were actually 4 deer.  The fourth one was either injured or born with a defect as his back left leg was significantly shorter than the other legs.

I'm am just awed by these beautiful creatures.
